More Tips to Jan's Recipes!
Last Monday I spent 3 hours power cooking. I like to keep a lot of individual single serving meals frozen so when I go to work I just grab one or two to take along with snacks and such.. With my diet I want to always make sure that I have something readily available. When I looked in my freezer I had nothing made and knew with my busy week ahead I had to do something. I have most all the ingredients for my recipes but sometimes I don't so this is what I made and here are my recipe adjustments. I made "Almost Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup" I had all the ingredients but the parsnip! (the parsnip is very important but if you don't have any use celery instead) It turned out very good! I was also really craving my "Cajun Shrimp" but had no shrimp so I used chicken tenders instead of shrimp and the rest of the recipe exactly the same.It was fantastic! I also made my "Chicken Pesto Pasta" without any chicken and used quinoa pasta instead of rice linguine all the rest of the recipe exactly the same.Love my pesto! I then made my Spaghetti which is not in my recipe book but will be made available in the near future via video. Then to top it all off I made blueberry pancakes. Of course I didn't have enough blueberries so some were with and some were without. I left some of the food out to eat that day and for my husbands lunch the next and put 30 meals in the freezer. Not bad for 3 hours!
