This is an incredible cake. I struggled for quite awhile developing this recipe. I tried a lot of other recipes as well because life is truly incomplete without chocolate cake. When I used to eat gluten and dairy and sugar I had a great recipe from my husbands grandmother made with love (and buttermilk)! I knew it was his favorite thing so I needed to create something good. My "Grandma's Mockery Chocolate Cake" recipe (found in Jan's Recipe Book) lives up to it's name (meaning not actually but pretty darn close). I would say this recipe cuts the cake in my world! (pun intended) I've been working on a cookie recipe which is good so far but not as good as I'd like it to be.
